Every poster that you print should be like a book that tells a story. Keep it simple, an onlooker may only have a few seconds to look at your poster and understand as much as possible, it should have as few clutters as possible.
Informative statements and attractive graphic are a must. Making sure to capture your readers attention.

The purpose of a poster is to pass a message in as simple and as clear as possible. It should effectively present a useful information and food for thought. If the details presented in the poster has been described and illustrated better in a paper, consider making the paper available as handout at the poster session. Additionally, the use of colors can be very helpful in maximizing both the clarity of images and making the poster captivating.

There are several things you need to know when designing and printing your own poster. Firstly, do not make the title too large or too small. Consider its distance with the audience. Avoid from making it too large. If it exceeds the width of the poster consider shortening the title and remember that all caps letters are harder to read. Use colors in your posters as it helps to convey additional meaning and feelings. But be careful while selecting the colors that you are using. Make sure that the colors draws attention and serve as meaningful distinctions.

Stress out the key pointers and your conclusions in the poster. Do not focus too much on the little stuff. Communicate with the big picture.

Do not assume that your readers would easily understand your poster. Consider adding helpful tutorial sections to the poster such as an Internet address pointing to an important material or anything else that would help teach your readers what they need to know to understand your poster.

A blushing bride and a handsome groom are always a good sight to see. It is every woman’s dream to have a great wedding. After all, they would marry their husbands only once so might as well make it an affair to remember. From the tiny table cloth design and color to the bride’s gown and wedding motif, everything needs careful planning and preparation. One of the most important and oftentimes overlooked details of preparing a wedding is the invitation. The invitation is an important piece of stationery that includes all information about the bride and groom, where the wedding will be held and other related details. But if the invitation is not properly designed and printed, the whole charm of the event can be ruined.

There are many choices when it comes to the format of the wedding invitation today. The Internet, for one, has thousands of web sites that offer help in wedding preparation. You can ask help from them to make your invitation more special and distinct. Be wary though that some techniques in creating an invitation card can cost much. So your invitation design will depend mostly on how you want it to look and what your budget will allow you.

Offset printing is perhaps the most familiar method of printing any kind of material. In this technique the inked impression is made to a rubber cylinder or plate and then transferred to paper. The resulting image in this type of printing method will appear flat. So when considering this printing style use textured papers or papers that can’t be produced through thermography, digital or engraving. This is one of the most affordable and easiest printing options for couples who have limited budget. Best of all, if you want images to extend through the page of the invitation, you can do so with offset printing. Bleed use with offset printing can run off the page rather than being limited to the frame of the invitation.

There are a lot of professional printers that offer offset printing. They can even make the entire invitation for you. Or if you want a personalized design, you can do so by creating your own design and bringing them to the printers. Understand though that if you are doing the designing yourself, talk with the printer first and know what software they support and how the files should be save.

So, when ordering your invitation card check all the details carefully. Make sure that it is complete in all aspect. Keep in mind that a poorly printed and designed invitation destroys the interest of the guest and the essence of the occasion.

You have your design and your message in hand, you even had the color printing company selected. So what’s next? It’s now time for you to choose the color printing method you’ll use to get your work produced.

But it’s not about your knowledge of all the color printing methods available. It’s more than that. It’s about what would be the most appropriate for your special project. Will it be the offset litho this time, or a dye-sublimation would be more suitable to your ad?

Here are some of the general guidelines made by most color printers to help you come up with the most appropriate printing method for your project. Remember that there are no hard and fast rules; only suggestions that can help you fast track your choice process.

When you’re looking at personal use, hence you only need a low volume, it’s best that you also consider using your desktop inkjet and laser printers. When you really only require a few copies, you might want to try printing your stuff yourself and put off hiring your color printer for other bulk projects. It’s more practical this way. Either a color laser printer or an inkjet printer will do the job suitably.

When you want proofs for your color printing ad, you can either utilize, again, your desktop color laser printer or inkjet for the job. They’re very good at providing proofs especially for your text and general layout. But they may not be able to give you the precise color you expect. However, if you want a much higher resolution and digital proofs to boot, you might as well avail of color lasers, and dye-sublimation printing process. The last one is the process preferred by most graphic designers especially if you’re looking at creating that extra high end proofing.

For bulk desktop publishing in high volume, you would want to have offset lithography for those. This printing method is the most popular commercial color printing process when desktop publishing is involved; not to mention, it requires high volume mass production. That’s why most commercial printers use offset lithography for books, newsletters and brochures.

In addition, offset lithography is also best for glossy magazines, brochures and catalogs that require spot color and full color printing because of the pictures and photographs in it.

For business cards, letterheads, envelopes, labels, offset lithography is also the most commonly used printing method. You can add engraving for a more subtle letterhead, and thermography for that raised look in your material.
